Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Pakistan is fully aware of attempts by hostile intelligence agencies to destabilise the country and that the state will eliminate cross-border terrorism with its full strength.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal visited the National Defence University (NDU), where he addressed graduating officers of the National Security and War Course.
During his address, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the nature of warfare has changed, and Pakistan’s armed forces are continuously adapting their strategies and capabilities to meet evolving challenges.
He stressed that strategic clarity and institutional professionalism are essential for addressing increasingly complex security threats.
He said institutions such as the National Defence University are preparing future military and civilian leaders to deal with hybrid, conventional, and unconventional threats.
He added that Pakistan is fully aware of efforts by hostile intelligence agencies to undermine the country's stability and that proxy networks backed by such agencies will not be allowed to disrupt Pakistan’s peace or economic progress.
The Field Marshal stated that the state would deal with cross-border terrorism decisively and with full force. Backed by the nation’s support, he said, terrorist hideouts and their facilitators would be completely eliminated.
He further remarked that wars are not won through media campaigns or political slogans but through faith, unity, and discipline. He expressed complete confidence in the professionalism, high morale, and operational readiness of Pakistan’s armed forces.
Field Marshal Asim Munir also urged the graduating officers to uphold the principles of integrity, selfless service, and unwavering commitment to the nation.
