Following a thorough medical examination overseen by Imran Khan's family physician, a team of doctors at a private hospital in Islamabad has reported that Bushra Bibi, the former first lady, is in good health.

According to Geo News report, Bushra Bibi spent six hours at the hospital undergoing various diagnostic tests, including an endoscopy. Although she declined a blood test, opting not to provide a blood sample, she underwent ultrasound, ECHO, and ECG tests. Throughout the examination, Dr. Asim Yousuf, Imran Khan's physician, was present.

Sources indicated that all medical reports for the former first lady were cleared by the doctors, with only a minor gastric issue noted. Bushra Bibi's refusal to provide a blood sample will reportedly be documented in the final report, which will be shared with Dr. Asim, the jail superintendent, and the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

It's worth noting that the accountability court had ordered a comprehensive medical examination for Bushra Bibi at a private hospital within two days.

On April 15, Bushra Bibi petitioned the Islamabad High Court (IHC), requesting a medical examination at Shaukat Khanum Hospital or another private facility of her choice to investigate potential poisoning from tainted food. She cited symptoms of heartburn, throat and mouth pain, attributing them to the alleged poisonous meals. Additionally, she claimed psychological torture during her confinement at Banigala sub-jail.

Imran Khan, who is detained in Adiala Jail, asserted during a hearing of the £190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) case that Bushra Bibi had been served food spiked with toilet cleaner. He also raised concerns about the courtroom environment, mentioning additional barriers that were promptly removed following the judge's order, leading to a brief adjournment of the hearing.
