Hundreds of thousands of members of the Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat are celebrating Eidul Fitr in parts of the country on Tuesday (today).

The main congregation of Eid prayers was held in Tahiri Majid in the Saddar area of the metropolis.

Special prayers for the country's well-being and development were also offered on the occasion.

Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) provided security for the festive gatherings across the city with police and Rangers personnel deployed at entry and exit points.

On the other hand, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is set to meet on April 9 (today) for the sighting of the Eidul Fitr moon, according to a statement from the religious affairs ministry.

The meeting is set to be held at the Religious Affairs Ministry in Islamabad and will be presided over by Ruet-e-Halal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

The moon is likely to be sighted today and Eidul Fitr will fall on Wednesday (April 10) in Pakistan.
