CM Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, chaired a meeting in Karachi to finalize administrative and price-control measures for the holy month. In the meeting, he directed the authorities to ensure strict market monitoring and uninterrupted utilities for citizens across the province for Ramazan.

According to officials, utility providers have been ordered to avoid electricity and gas load-shedding during Sehri and Iftar timings, while police have been instructed to maintain law and order and manage traffic effectively during peak hours.

During the meeting, the chief secretary informed that 480 officers across Sindh have been granted magisterial powers to monitor prices and take direct action against sellers making undue profits. While 50 additional officers have been assigned specifically to Karachi for Ramazan duties.

The CM ordered immediate price checks in markets to ensure fruits, vegetables, and essential commodities are sold according to official rate lists. He warned any violation of orders will be dealt with strict action.

Furthermore, for increased public assistance, authorities have planned to set up 195 complaint cells in major markets across the province, especially in Karachi.

Officials say these coordinated measures are intended to ensure residents observe Ramzan peacefully without unnecessary hardship.
