CDF Asim Munir awarded ‘Greatest Victorious General of the Century’ title

The Sixth International Paigham-i-Islam Conference has conferred the titles of “Leader of Peace” and “Greatest Victorious General of the Century” on Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

The conference held on Wednesday acknowledged CDF Asim Munir's role in promoting peace and strengthening stability across the Muslim world.

The conference was organised by the International Tazeem-i-Haramain Sharifain Council in collaboration with the Pakistan Ulema Council. Participants at the event strongly condemned recent attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, while also voicing concern over strikes in Arab countries, describing such actions as harmful to regional stability.

Speakers at the conference stressed the need for ensuring national security, fostering unity among Muslim countries, and promoting interfaith harmony.

A number of high-profile figures attended the event, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore.

Also present were Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Palestinian ambassador Dr Zuhair Mohammad Hamdallah Zaid, Grand Mufti of Palestine Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, and Chief Justice of Palestine Dr Mahmoud Al-Habbash, along with senior Saudi and Palestinian officials, religious scholars, and international delegates.

Besides the army chief, several other national and international personalities were also honoured for their contributions to peace, stability and unity within the Muslim Ummah.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a shield of appreciation in recognition of his clear stance on major international issues, particularly Palestine.
