Bahria Town Karachi (BTK) is introducing entry charges for visitors from November 1, 2026, under a new restricted entry and exit system, making resident information system (RIS) cards mandatory for residents and commercial information system (CIS) cards for businesses.
According to a public service announcement issued by Bahria Town Karachi’s Maintenance and Services Department on October 13, residents holding valid RIS cards and their authorised guests will be allowed free entry. Commercial entities holding valid CIS cards will also be eligible for free entry.
Other visitors will be required to enter through a BTK entry ticket and pay the applicable fee according to the relevant category.
The announcement states that all residents must present a valid RIS card at the main gate. Those who fail to produce the card will be charged the applicable entry fee each time they enter Bahria Town Karachi.
Residents have been advised to obtain their RIS cards before November 1 to avoid inconvenience, delays and entry charges.
Similarly, commercial cardholders must present valid CIS cards at the main gate to qualify for free entry. Business owners and their employees are required to obtain and carry valid CIS cards, while businesses must ensure their employees and relevant vehicles are registered with the system.
Bahria Town Karachi said the new system was being introduced to ensure secure and controlled access to the housing society.
