Islamabad police have launched a crackdown on alleged prostitution rings operating under the cover of dance parties and massage centres in the federal capital.
The Shalimar police conducted five raids in a single night, detaining 21 women and 19 men from residential apartments and commercial premises in the city.
Officials said that the main suspect, identified as Ali Malik, who was allegedly running the prostitution ring from residential flats, managed to evade arrest. They stated that the held suspects admitted that the illicit activities were ongoing under the guise of dance events and massage services.
