20-year-old Azerbaijani woman abducted, gang-raped in Lahore

Defence-C police on Saturday registered a case against three unidentified men after a 20-year-old Azerbaijani woman reported that she had allegedly been gang-raped in Lahore.

According to the complaint, the woman was visiting Pakistan for business purposes and was staying at a house near Raiwind Road.

She told police that two women approached her and invited her to dinner. They went to a café, where three men joined them. The woman said she could identify the men and women.

According to her statement, the men offered to drive the women and later took her to an unidentified flat. She said alcohol was consumed there and that she was given an intoxicating substance, after which she lost consciousness.

She alleged that the three men sexually assaulted her and later locked her inside the flat until around 2pm.

The woman said the suspects returned and dropped her near Ghazi Interchange before fleeing. She also alleged that her mobile phone and other belongings were taken.

She approached police and requested legal action against those responsible.

Defence-C police registered a case against the three unidentified suspects and launched an investigation into the allegations.
