The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has filed a case against 13 officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over allegations of extorting millions from illegal call centers.

According to media reports, the case was registered with the FIA’s Anti-Corruption Cell in Islamabad. The suspects allegedly collected millions of rupees monthly from illegal call centers, providing them protection in return.

Named in the case are Additional Directors Shehzad Haider and Amir Nazir, Deputy Directors Salman Awan, Haider Abbas, and Nadeem Ahmed Khan, as well as several sub-inspectors, including Usman Basharat, Muhammad Bilal, Sarim Ali, Zaheer Abbas Niazi, and Mian Irfan.

The FIR stated that the group collected over Rs250 million in bribe, offering legal cover to illicit call center operations. The investigation revealed that a woman was involved in facilitating some of the financial transactions.

This case follows an earlier NCCIA action against YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, also known as “Ducky Bhai,” who was arrested. Subsequently, his wife, Aroob Jatoi, filed a separate complaint accusing NCCIA officials of accepting millions in bribes, prompting the FIA to initiate the current proceedings.
