Security forces eliminated 13 militants in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, targeting what officials described as a terrorist network backed by India.

According to official statements, a joint operation in the Pahar Khel area of Lakki Marwat led to the killing of 10 militants.

In a separate intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in Dera Ismail Khan, three more terrorists were neutralized. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from both locations.

Authorities said the network had been involved in multiple attacks aimed at destabilizing the region.

Following the raids, security teams launched a comprehensive sanitization operation to clear the surrounding areas and ensure no remaining militants were hiding nearby.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces, police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for what he called their “exemplary professionalism and commitment.”

He said the neutralization of the militants in Lakki Marwat once again demonstrated the resolve of Pakistan’s forces to thwart threats to peace.

Naqvi added that the efforts of security and law-enforcement agencies to maintain stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remain “highly commendable.”
