Bill Gates thanks Anant, Radhika for giving him 'excuse' to catch up with old friends

Microsoft founder Bill Gates took an opportunity to extend his thanks to soon-to-be-wed couple Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant for giving him an excuse to meet his old friends during the three-day pre-wedding bash of Asia's richest person's son.

The tech giant turned to Instagram to share a picture of him donning Indian attire with his friends, including Paula Hurd and the founders of Indian multinational information technology company, Infosys Rohini and Nandan Nilekani.

Gates congratulated Anant and Radhika as the duo is set to tie the knot in July this year.

"This was my first time attending a wedding celebration in India, and it was incredible. Congratulations, Anant and Radhika," he said in a post.

Mukesh Ambani's son and industrialist Viren Merchant's daughter's pre-wedding celebration gained widespread attention on social media for its grandeur. 

Several tech giants, Hollywood and Bollywood A-lister celebrities, and sportsmen gathered at Jamnagar to revel in the three-day festivities.

Luxurious arrangements like top chefs, designer clothes, and luxury car transportation were provided. The venue also featured VIP tents with top-notch amenities for guests.
