Controversial actress Iffat Omar has slammed the authorities for inviting the globally celebrated Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik to Pakistan as a 'state guest'.

The model took to the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) to express her disappointment with the cleric.

Omar reposted two videos criticising the 58-year-old eminent scholar's behaviour and views.

The first video shows Mr Zakir complaining about Pakistan International Airlines' (PIA) CEO refusing to allow him 1,000kg of luggage without charges.

The Hidden Love actres labelled Dr Naik as "sickeningly entitled".

In the second post, she reposted a video of the scholar schooling a girl for allegedly linking Muslims with pedophilia.

"I really want to know who thought of inviting him as a State Guest ,who?"  the Mohabbat Aag Si starlet questioned.

She also tagged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N, and PPP in her post.

Dr Naik is currently in Pakistan for a month-long visit, which began on September 30.

Upon his arrival at Islamabad airport, he was warmly welcomed by Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Additional Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Syed Dr Attaur Rehman, Parliamentary Secretary Religious Affairs Shamsheer Ali Mazari, and other dignitaries.

On Sunday, the globally celebrated personality included his public lectures in the metropolis.

Mr Naik will hold private meetings from October 7 to 10 in the port city.

He will then travel to Lahore and deliver lectures on October 12 and 13, and later in Islamabad on October 19 and 20.

These events will be broadcast live on Peace TV, allowing a broader audience to benefit from Dr. Naik's expertise in comparative religion.
