A video of a former child actor from a popular Nickelodeon series living homeless on the streets in California has gone viral.

Tylor Chase, now 36, who played the character Martin Qwerly on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide from 2004 to 2007, was recently seen in the Riverside area of Los Angeles.

The video that began circulating online in September shows Chase dressed in an old Los Angeles Raiders polo shirt, holding up his trousers while speaking to someone recording him.

In the clip, he is asked if he once worked on a Nickelodeon show. “Yeah, on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” Chase responds. The person filming then recognises him, saying, “Oh yeah, you're that kid on it.”

Following the spread of the video, a GoFundMe campaign was launched in his name and collected more than $1,200. However, the fundraiser was later removed by Chase’s mother.

She said that Tylor needs medical attention not money, which he refuses it.

“I appreciate your effort, but money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day or two. He can't manage money for his meds by himself,” she said, as quoted by The US Sun.
