ASP Shehrbano leaves podcast midway after 'SHO's call'

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shehrbano Naqvi is once again in the spotlight on social media after a clip from her recent podcast went viral.

In the widely shared clip, Naqvi is seen receiving a phone call mid-conversation. Glancing at her cellphone, she says, “I am getting a call” before adding that it is a call from the SHO.

She answers the call and says, “Haan ji, Khurram,” as her expression turns serious. Naqvi is then heard asking whether the suspect has been caught. Moving the mic aside, she tells the caller to wait, saying she is on her way.

Turning to the podcast host, she says, “a murder has happened; I’ll come back quickly" before leaving the recording.

According to the clip, Naqvi returns to the podcast about an hour later and briefly shares details of the incident with the host.

The video has been widely circulated on social media platforms, drawing criticism.
