Multan's district administration in a raid seized a substantial quantity of counterfeit medicines valued millions of rupees from a residence in the Qasim Bela area. 

The operation was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Muhammad Saif led the operation based on a tip-off.

The raid resulted in the discovery of a large stash of fake and substandard medications, leading to the apprehension of four individuals, including a woman. The CEO of Health department, Dr. Faisal Qaisarani, and Drug Inspector Muhammad Usman filed an application that prompted the registration of a case against the alleged offenders. 

Notably, Rana Ahmed and Wahaj Shah, among others, were found affixing counterfeit labels to various medicines.

According to Muhammad Saif, the culprits were involved in distributing these fraudulent medicines across south Punjab. Samples of the seized medicines have been dispatched for laboratory testing. 

The additional commissioner emphatically declared that no one would be permitted to jeopardize the well-being of the public.
