Aizal’s mother claims Rajab Butt visited to record vlog, offered no support

KARACHI: The mother of 18-month-old Aizal, who died last month after suffering injuries allegedly linked to sexual assault, has accused YouTuber Rajab Butt of falsely claiming that he had supported her family.

Speaking during a recent interview, the woman was asked about several public figures, including TikTokers and YouTubers who had visited her family after the case attracted widespread attention.

Responding to a question about Rajab Butt, she rejected his reported claims of providing assistance away from the cameras.

“I heard him saying somewhere that he had helped us off camera,” she said, adding that she had received no financial assistance from the YouTuber.

She alleged that Butt’s visit was primarily for recording content for his vlog.“He did not give me even a single rupee. He came for his vlog, recorded it and left,” she said.

However, she added that she would acknowledge his support if he helped the family secure a home in the future.

“If he helps us get a flat, I will come back and appreciate him and tell everyone about it,” she said.

The comments came nearly a week after Butt visited Aizal’s family in Karachi and publicly called for justice for the child.
