Gold prices jump by Rs9,100 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices surged in Pakistan on Thursday following an increase in the international market.

In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs9,100 to reach Rs428,736, according to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.

The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs7,802, taking it to Rs367,572.

A day earlier, gold had fallen by Rs5,200 per tola and was being sold at Rs419,636.

In the global market, gold prices gained $91 and reached $4,063 per ounce, including a premium of $20.

Silver prices also recorded an increase, rising by Rs203 to settle at Rs6,445 per tola.
