Gold price surge by Rs7,700 in Pakistan

Due to the threat of a U.S. attack on Iran, gold prices have reached a historic high.

According to the Jewellers Association, both global and local gold markets have seen a significant increase in prices. 

Locally, the price of 24-carat gold per tola rose by PKR 7,700 to reach a record PKR 480,962. 

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by PKR 6,602 to PKR 412,347.

Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola rose by PKR 430 to reach PKR 8,895.

In the international market, gold became $77 more expensive, reaching $4,586 per ounce.
