Gold price rises Rs1,300 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Wednesday in line with an upward trend in international markets.

According to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold increased by Rs1,300 per tola to reach Rs359,300.

The price of 10 grams of gold also saw gain of Rs1,114, settling at Rs308,041.

The rise comes after a dip on Tuesday, when the price per tola dropped by Rs1,500 to Rs358,000.

Globally, gold prices also recorded an increase. The international rate stood at $3,366 per ounce, including a $20 premium — up by $13 from the previous session, according to APGJSA.

Silver prices also moved upward in the local market, with the rate per tola climbing by Rs39 to reach Rs4,010.
