Gold price per tola reaches Rs388,100 in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan remained steady on Wednesday, with the per tola rate holding at Rs388,100, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price had reached the same level on Tuesday after gaining Rs4,100 in a single day.

The rate of 10 grams of gold was recorded at Rs332,733, while silver also stayed unchanged at Rs4,358 per tola, the association added.

Internationally, gold continued to trade above the key $3,600-per-ounce level, supported by expectations of a U.S. interest rate cut later this month. At 0652 GMT, spot gold rose 0.5% to $3,644.54 per ounce, after hitting a record high of $3,673.95 on Tuesday. Meanwhile, U.S. gold futures for December delivery were flat at $3,683.

Analysts noted that investors are closely watching key inflation data due this week, which could influence the Federal Reserve’s policy stance and further impact global gold prices.
