Gold price jumps Rs6,900 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory on Thursday, recording a significant increase of Rs6,900 per tola, according to data released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA).

Following the rise, the price of 24-karat gold per tola reached Rs435,100, while the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs5,916 to stand at Rs373,028.

The jewellers’ association reported that the surge was in line with a strong rally in the international market, where the price of gold climbed by $69 to settle at $4,140 per ounce.

Analysts attribute the increase to heightened investor interest in safe-haven assets amid global economic uncertainty and fluctuations in currency markets.
