Gold prices witnessed a significant decline in both international and local markets during Friday’s trading session. In the international market, the price of gold dropped by $155 per ounce, bringing it down to $4,545 per ounce.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, there was a substantial decrease in the price of gold in the domestic market as well during the last business day of the week.

The gold price per tola fell by Rs15,500, reaching Rs476,862. Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams reduced by Rs13,289 to reach Rs408,832.

The prices of silver also reduced in the domestic market. Per tola silver reduced by Rs972, reaching Rs8,232, while the 10 grams of silver fell by Rs833 to become Rs7,057.

Spot silver dropped by 7.2%, reaching $77.46 per ounce. Platinum witnessed a 2.9% reduction to become $1,996.34, whereas palladium fell by 1.4%, standing at $1,417.18.
