Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase on July 21, 2025, following gains in the international market. The price of gold rose by Rs3,600 per tola, reaching Rs361,200, according to local market data.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs3,087, bringing the new rate to Rs309,671.

The rise mirrors a global trend, where gold prices surged by $36 per ounce. The international price of gold is now recorded at $3,387 per ounce.

Analysts attribute the increase to continued global economic uncertainty, fluctuations in currency values, and heightened investor interest in safe-haven assets.

The local market, like many others worldwide, has been experiencing price swings amid concerns over inflation, interest rates, and geopolitical developments.
