Gold dips, silver gains in local market

Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Wednesday, tracking a marginal decline in the international market, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of gold per tola dropped by Rs200 to Rs358,100, while the rate for 10 grams decreased by Rs171 to Rs307,013. A day earlier, the precious metal had recorded a fall of Rs500 per tola, closing at Rs358,300.
In the international market, the gold rate stood at $3,354 per ounce — inclusive of a $20 premium — marking a $2 decrease over the day.
In contrast, silver prices registered an increase, with the rate per tola rising by Rs59 to reach Rs4,072, APGJSA data showed.
