Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) has been reportedly accused of stealing Rs420 million from the depositors in Karachi, 

As per details, the alleged fraud at the Karachi branch involves its manager and staff orchestrating the unauthorized withdrawal of millions of US dollars using counterfeit signatures.

The victims, an overseas Pakistani family, discovered alleged fraudulent activity upon their return to Pakistan when their bank accounts were found empty.

The affected family has filed a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for action and recovery of their alleged stolen money.

Acting on the complaint, the FIA initiated an investigation into the matter. Reportedly, the FIA spokesperson revealed that they have received a number of complaints same in nature. 

The Dubai Islamic Bank has not responded on the matter yet, according to media reports.

The family has also urged the State Bank of Pakistan to take notice of the matter and ensure the security of the funds of the depositors.
