The Asian Development Bank (ADB) ha released the Asian Development Outlook report for the current fiscal year 2025-26 on Tuesday.

In the report, the Asian Development Bank maintained Pakistan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at 3 per

cent for the current fiscal year.

The report further revealed that the rate of inflation and GDP growth will remain lower than the predictions.

The report stated that in the month of July, the GDP growth was predicted at 3 percent.

The federal government expected GDP growth of 4.2 percent during the current fiscal year. The ADB report said that during the current fiscal year, the inflation rate of Pakistan is expected to reach 6 per cent.

The Asian Development Bank predicted an inflation rate of 5.8 percent in its report, which was released in July 2025.

The federal government keeps the inflation rate at 7.5 percent during the current fiscal year, but recent floods have affected food chains badly in Pakistan.

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) adopted precautionary measures in monetary policy.

The report said that due to comprehensive economic reforms, Pakistan’s economic condition has become stable.

Pakistan is implementing the conditions of the International Monetary Fund, but Pakistan has to take measures to tackle the challenge of climate change.

Continuation of policies is essential for economic growth.

The trade accord between Pakistan and USA will also pave the way for strengthening trade activities in the country.
