Pak-Ind T20 World Cup match tickets being sold for over Rs650,000

As the T20 World Cup 2024 draws closer, cricket lovers have started purchasing expensive tickets to watch the highly anticipated clash between Pakistan and India.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I World Cup 2024 is set to kick start from June 1 in the United States (US) and West Indies.

The arch-rivals Pakistan and India will lock horns in New York on June 9.

Geo News reported that the ticket prices for the much-awaited match have increased to $2,500 (PKR692,500) from $1,300 (PKR360,100).

However, the officials divided the tickets into three categories; standard, standard plus, and premium standard with different prices.

The standard ticket prices are $175, which is equivalent to over Rs48,000. Tickets of the standard plus category are being sold for $300 (over PKR83,000)

Meanwhile, for the premium category, the ticket cost is $400, which is over Rs110,000.

Pakistan will play its first match with the host US on June 6.
