On Monday, Karachi’s assistant commissioner unsealed Zainab Market and other adjacent markets.
Also, the Victoria and International Market and MA Jinnah Road markets such as Gul Plaza have been reopened. Shopkeepers were ordered to obey strictly the coronavirus SOPs from the government.
The unsealing took place under the supervision of the assistant commissioner who warned that the markets would be shut down if social distancing laws are again breached.
The shops will follow the timings that they had previously followed, from 8 am to 4 pm.
On the other hand, Atiq Mir, chairman of Karachi All Tajir Ittehad, has declared that the city’s markets will remain open for 24 hours until Eid. He said malls will be reopened from Monday, too.
