Zahir Jaffer’s physical remand extended by two days in Noor murder case
ISLAMABAD: Police on Monday produced the key suspect in Noor Mukadam murder case, Zahir Zakir Jaffer, before the district and sessions court in Islamabad.
The court has granted extension in physical remand of the suspect for two days, after he was presented before Magistrate Sohaib Bilal Ranjha amid high security by Kohsar police station officials upon completion of two-day remand.
Prosecutor Sajid Cheema said that police had recovered pistol from Jaffer’s possession and they had to recover his personal cell phone as well.
The sessions court has directed the police to reproduce the suspect before it on July 28 after completing the interrogation.
On July 21, daughter of a former Pakistani diplomat had been shot dead and beheaded in Islamabad.
According to details, son of a leading businessman, Zahir Jaffer had gunned down the 27 years old woman while she was present at his house. The victim and the suspect were friends for a long time.
On July 25, Islamabad police had taken the parents of Zahir Jaffer and household staff into custody for interrogation.
