Zahir Jaffer’s father aided in murder of Noor Mukaddam: challan
ISLAMABAD: Police on Saturday submitted incomplete interim challan to the court in Noor Mukaddam murder case against Zahir Jaffer and his accomplices.
The court was apprised that a supplementary challan will also be filed on the report regarding laptops and mobile phones by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The suspect Zahir Jaffer testified that Noor Mukaddam was killed and beheaded. The accused revealed that when Noor Mukaddam had refused to marry him, she was forcibly locked in a room. The suspect had told the watchman not to let anyone come inside the house and not to let Noor Mukaddam go.
The suspect had killed the woman and hid her mobile in another room. The victim’s mobile was recovered from the closet of his house upon identification of the accused. According to the challan, when Zahir Jaffer had informed his father about the murder, he had said there was no need to panic.
According to the interim challan, the accused’s father had said that his servants were coming to dispose of the body. “If Zakir Jaffer had informed the police in time, Noor Mukaddam’s murder could have been avoided. However, the accused’s father helped his son in the incident,” read the challan.
The suspect said that there was a misunderstanding with Amjad Mahmood of Therapy Works. The employees of Therapy Works had tried to destroy the evidence. The injured employee of the Therapy Works did not even register the incident, rather he had mentioned in the medical slip that he got wounded in a road mishap.
The photos and fingerprints stored in the DVR also belong to Zahir Jaffer. When Noor Mukaddam jumped from the washroom and ran towards the gate, the keeper did not help and the gardener did not allow the gate to open for the victim.
The accused had booked a flight to the United States on July 19 but did not travel. There are evidence against 12 suspects in the case and the challan has been submitted to their extent.
