KARACHI: A young man has been shot dead upon resistance to a robbery attempt in Karachi.

A relative of the deceased said Inam had gone along his sister to an ATM machine to withdraw cash worth Rs0.1 million. He said the robbers snatched the money on gunpoint and then shot him dead.

The woman, resident of Garden area, has reportedly claimed that a police van was also parked nearby, but the police did nothing to stop the culprits. The relative alleged such incidents usually took place in presence of police officials.
