RAWALPINDI: A young Pakistani soldier was martyred in exchange of fire near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on Monday night.

Media wing of armed forces, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday said that militants from across the border targeted a Pakistan army check post in Bajaur.

The 24-year-old martyred has been identified as Sabir Shah.

The ISPR said that Pakistan had been raising the issue of border management between the neighbouring countries. Pak Army would not allow Afghani soil to be used against Pakistan, it said.
