World’s dirtiest man dies after taking bath

The ‘world’s dirtiest man’ stayed away from showers for more than half a century, died at the age of 94 in Iran after taking a bath.

Amou Haji is said to have abstained from using soap and water for over 50 years.

Amu Haji said that he avoided bathing because he believed that taking shower may prove harmful for him and may even make him sick.

According to Iranian media, local people tried to bathe and clean Amou several times, but they failed, but he surrendered a few months ago and local people managed to bathe him.

Amou fell ill after taking a bath and died last Sunday.

A short documentary film titled “The Strange Life of Amou Haji” was made about his life in 2013, due to which he gained worldwide fame.
