ISLAMABAD: The World Malaria Day is being observed across the globe including Pakistan on Saturday (April 25).
On this day, World Health Organization has expressed resolve to join the RBM Partnership to End Malaria in promoting a grassroots campaign that is aimed at keeping Malaria high on the political agenda, mobilize additional resources, and empower communities to take ownership of Malaria prevention and care.
World Malaria Day is an international observance commemorated every year on April 25 and recognizes global efforts to control malaria. Globally, 3.3 billion people in 106 countries are at risk of malaria. In 2012, malaria caused an estimated 627,000 deaths, mostly among African children.
