World Bank provides 40 ventilators to KP government to tackle coronavirus

The World Bank has provided the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government 40 ventilators for patients infected with coronavirus.
These 40 ventilators are the first installation the government has requested for of the 120 ventilators.
They will be sent out to hospitals throughout the province. Patients suffer serious respiratory difficulties in more advanced COVID-19 stages, and require ventilators to continue breathing.
A health department official said they were testing the ventilators, and then sending them to separate districts. Their officials must install the devices and then educate workers at the hospital on how they should be used.
Out of the 120 ventilators to be used in ambulances, 30 are compact ones. You charge the battery, and they can be used for up to 30 hours, an official said.
In addition, the World Bank will also send 210,000 N-95 masks and 300,000 surgical masks.
