World Bank approves $400 million to support Pakistan
The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors have approved $400 million soft loan to support Pakistan to upgrade education and health services in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The soft loan has been approved in financing from the International Development Association (IDA).
The KP Spending Effectively for Enhanced Development (SPEED) program will help the provincial government to strengthen resources for the public and fiscal planning through which the investments will be used for education and healthcare.
The Program will be implementing critical reforms in budget allocation and expenditures.
However, it will result in quality of schools and health centres and will remove the hurdles to acquire good education or health facility in KPK.
