KARACHI: The administrator of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, has shared pictures of Promenade being built at Manora Beach, on Twitter.
Taking it to twitter, Murtaza Wahab stated ” Work is almost completed on the Manora Beach Front Promenade being developed by Sindh Government.”
“This will be the 1st of its kind initiative in Karachi and will serve as a major attraction for beach lovers”, he further added.
Earlier in August, newly-appointed Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab had said Muharram would be another test for the government regarding coronavirus.
Addressing media regarding situation of coronavirus, Murtaza Wahab said that people should follow the COVID-19 standard operating procedures issued by the government during Muharram.
“A decrease has been witnessed in coronavirus cases due to the timely lockdown of the Sindh government,” he said adding that the trend of a sharp increase in the cases had stopped.
He said the decision to block SIM cards proved as the game changer in convincing people to get vaccinated.
He further said we cared more about our SIMs than our lives, the new notification regarding some relaxations in COVID restrictions would be issued.
The Karachi administrator expressed his determination to try to bring significant change in the city with the help of the masses. He hoped that the people of Karachi would support him for the real change.
He said that he did not trust the opposition, he wanted to take all the stakeholders with him.
Murtaza further said that if Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Mustafa Kamal wanted to take to the streets, then he should wear a mask. “This is not the time for politics. I will give a message to all political parties to wear masks and get vaccinated,” he maintained.
