Women remained safe after falling from swing on the top of 6,000ft cliff

The two women who fell off from the swing on the top of 6,000 ft cliff remained safe.

They were taking a ride over Sulak Canyon located in the Russian Republic of Dagestan, on the Caspian Sea.

The video of the incident went viral on social media, in which the horrific incident can be witnessed that two women enjoying ride suddenly plunged after the swing chain snapped.

Fortunately, the victims fell on a wooden platform under the edge of the cliff.

However, it is believed that if they had fallen off from a maximum height, they wouldn’t have remained safe.

The pair have sustained only bruises and scratches as their relatives pulled them back to safety.

Police are now investigating the safety of several canyon swings which have been built near Zubutli village, where this accident took place.

Moreover, the local Kazbekovsky council is expected to demand the removal of such swing, according to the reports.

The Sulak gorge is deeper than the Grand Canyon in the US, and is described as the deepest canyon in Europe.

The Ministry of Tourism in Dagestan has stated that the swing ‘did not meet safety standards’.

‘As a result, the young women fell off the swing seat,’ said their statement.
