Woman shot dead by brother over ‘love marriage’ in Sargodha
Another daughter of Eve has been killed in the name of honor in Sargodha.
According to details, the tragic incident took place in the area of Old Civil Line in Sargodha, Punjab, where a brother shot dead his sister.
Police officials said that the accused Saadia Noreen who had contracted a free-will marriage was shot dead by her brother in Sargodha.
Police said that the victim’s brother Nadir Ali entered the house and opened fire. Saadia Noreen died on the spot while the accused fled after the incident.
Police officials further said that Cantt police arrested the accused in a timely manner. The accused Nadir Abbas is a resident of Chakrala Mianwali.
Police officials said that a pistol used in the incident has been recovered from the accused.
