Woman gang raped during robbery incident in Lahore

LAHORE: A woman was gang raped by two suspects during robbery incident on Ring Road in Lahore.

According to details shared by an FIR registered at Gujjarpura police station, the woman was travelling with her children when their car stopped with a chug after its fuel was finished in Gujjarpura locality. She telephoned her relative, Shehzad, who advised her to call emergency number 130 as he left with his friend to come for their help.

When they arrived at the location of their car, they saw that the woman and children were coming from field as their car was parked on the roadside. She narrated how the suspects dragged her into the field and raped her. She told that the suspects were between ages of 30 to 35 years. One was fat and the other was thin, she added. The victim said she would recognize the suspects, if seen.

The suspects also robbed the woman of Rs0.1 million cash, gold jewellery worth Rs0.15 million, registration card of the car and three ATM cards.

Police have launched a search operation against the suspects.

On the other hand, medical report of the woman has also confirmed the rape incident.
