Woman appointed as station manager by Pakistan Railways for first time
LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has appointed a woman as station manager for the first time in its history.
According to details, the railways authorities have given Assistant Transport Officer Lahore Syyeda Marziyya Zahra an additional charge of station manager of Lahore Railway Station. The additional charge of station manager Lahore was withdrawn from Station Master Lahore Cantt Younis Bhatti.
On the other hand, Pakistan Railway SAMPARS Union has given the call for protest against appointment of CSP officer on vacancy of station manager.
Central Chairman of Pakistan Railway SAMPARS Union Muhammed Irfan, while expressing his reservations on the appointment, said that they would stage a protest if the notification was not annulled.
