Why Nadia Jamil is facing backlash from netizens?

Fans have expressed their displeasure over actress Nadia Jamil’s response to a person who sent a marriage proposal to her on Twitter.

The actress shared a picture of herself on Twitter yesterday and called the social media users her family. She wrote, “All my social media friends are my family, I would be happy if I could meet you guys and have a cup of tea together and share our sorrows”.

She further added, “Thank you for being there for me when I was at my most vulnerable. Yes, we all have to fight our own battles, but I’m cheering you on. Always!”

To all my beautiful social media friends. You are my family. I’d love to meet you & have a cuppa chai, share dukh sukh. As InshaAllah
Thank you for being there for me when I was at my most vulnerable. Yes we all have to fight our own battles, but im cheering you on. Always!❤️🙏🏼🤲🏼 pic.twitter.com/29vROqtTQA

Many users commented on Nadia Jamil’s post, but one comment caught people’s attention.

A man named Javed Ahmed proposed to the actress for marriage to which Nadia Jamil used the ‘vomit’ emoji. This reaction from the actress was disliked by the fans and they expressed their opinion that such inappropriate behaviour was not expected from Nadia.

Netizens said that the response is insulting to the user and told Nadia that she should have just declined, as it is not appropriate to disrespect anyone.

Here are a few reactions

Very bad.
You could just say "NO".

— صیاد فاکر (@sayyad_faakir) October 21, 2022

I think "No, Thanks" would be good enough.. There is no point in humiliating a person who admires you..

اپ کسی اور ایموجی کا انتخاب کر سکتی تھی یہ ٹھیک نہیں ہے

— Kashif Ali Abbasi (@Kashifabasi1987) October 21, 2022

کسی سے اظہار کرنا کوئی بری بات نہیں۔ یہ سب کا جمہوری اور اخلاقی حق ہے۔

— Tahseen Hashmi تحسین ہاشمی (@tahseenus) October 21, 2022

Well Nadia, I always respect and admire you, but I believe you had all right to say a respectable NO or ignore his message instead posting a disrespectful emoji. All the best!
