According to details, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi while raising questions on the method of evaluating the performance of ministries said that why the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been given the number 11, why his ministry was not included in the top 10 ministries, Shah Mehmood Qureshi wrote a letter to Shehzad Arbab, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.
The letter states that in the first quarter, the State Department achieved 22 of the 26 targets, with no written guidelines for 30% performance appraisal. The text of the letter further stated that 18 out of 24 targets were successfully achieved in the second quarter, and the State Department ensured that no issues remained pending during the review period.
The letter written by the Foreign Minister said that despite busy schedule, the Foreign Ministry also carried out high-level activities during this period, besides, no concern was expressed on the work of the Foreign Ministry, regarding the performance of the Foreign Ministry. No written guidelines were given.
