Why do you get headache when you skip your regular cup of tea?

It’s mid-morning, the day isn’t even half over and already your head is pounding and you’re tired and cranky. What’s going on? Are you getting sick? Maybe it’s swine flu. But then, you remember, you haven’t had your regular cup of tea yet.

Have you ever wondered when you skip your tea why you get a headache?

The reason behind this is quite simple and that is caffeine.

Just as caffeine can make you feel energetic, alert, more confident and healthy, going without can make you feel drowsy, drained of energy, less alert and downright low and don’t forget the unforgiving headache.

According to health experts, if you are used to of drinking several cups of tea throughout the day, you may experience headaches when you skip the drink, just like coffee lovers.

Caffeine constricts the blood vessels around the brain, and when caffeine is withdrawn for some reason, these arteries dilate again, causing a headache.

Headache is a symptom that you are addicted to caffeine and can be experienced by people who drinks only one cup of tea or coffee throughout the day.

The pain can be relaxed buy using common pain killer.

If you are trying to leave the habit of drinking tea or coffee do it gradually as the caffeine takes time to exhale from your body.

Scalp massage, drinking more water, adequate sleep and good diet can also help you to get rid of this habit.
