Surprisingly six members of the Pakistan cricket team that went on a tour of New Zealand have tested positive for the coronavirus. But what exactly is the reason behind that?
Earlier, The Pakistani cricket team went on England tour on a chartered plane and no one tested positive for coronavirus, it was comparatively safe.
But this time around when the Pakistani team flew from Lahore on a connecting commercial flight to Auckland via Dubai and Kuala Lumpur six members of the squad have contracted COVID-19.
There can be a possibility that in a connecting flight, passengers had to change frequently, and getting affected with the virus have higher chances in this situation. It would have been nice if PCB would have arranged a charter plane for the New Zealand tour too.
The national team squad arrived in New Zealand two days ago where they were quarantined. The New Zealand Cricket Board has temporarily suspended the national squad from practice.
Officials have said that it is unfortunate that the corona test of the members of the Pakistan team came positive.
Before the arrival of the 55-member national squad in New Zealand, the COVID-19 test was also conducted in Pakistan.
Thirty-five players and twenty support staff on the tour of New Zealand out of which 6 of them have reported corona positive. Pakistan cricket team is currently completing its 14-day quarantine in Christchurch.
