UNITED NATIONS: The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that the new coronavirus pandemic is far from over and has serious impact of the disruption of normal health services, especially on children.
WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, in a statement, said that shortages of vaccines against other diseases were being reported in 21 countries as a result of border restrictions linked to the pandemic.
He said number of malaria cases in sub-Saharan Africa can also be double because of this situation.

The worldwide death toll from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 211,330 while over three million cases have been registered.
According to latest data, 921,147 patients have recovered from the pandemic so far.
