ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked the ruling government about where the monetary assistance worth 1.25 billion dollars had been spent which weas given by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to cope with coronavirus.
Bilawal Zardari also asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to tell where the Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s aid worth 1.5 billion dollars and World Bank’s worth 200 million dollars had been spent.
He alleged that the prime minister had stopped the auditor general’s report regarding embezzlement in the money given in the PM’s Corona Relief Fund. He said Imran Khan should tell the nation as to where he spent all the money.
“The nation will not forgive Imran Khan for embezzlement in Corona Monetary Package. The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government should stop forging in the auditor general’s report and issue the report publicly,” he demanded.
The PPP chief said the government had failed on the economic front as the prime minister had borrowed enormous amount of money and nobody knew where it was spent.
He said common man’s income was gradually decreasing and inflation had been rising since the PPP’s last government.
