WhatsApp to roll out “Call Links” feature, tests 32-users group video call

The world’s most popular instant messaging social platform WhatsApp is rolling out the Call Links feature to allow users to create a link and share it with friends and family on the instant-messaging platform. This feature will allow 32 users to join together in a single video chat.
According to WhatsApp, the new feature will probably start rolling out later this week. To use the Call Links function, users must make sure they have the most recent version of the application. Additionally, the instant messaging service revealed that it has started testing group video calls for up to 32 individuals.
The feature will be added within the Call tabs soon and users will be able to create a link for an audio or video call that can be shared across platforms.
The co-founder of Meta platforms Mark Zuckerberg announced this development on his Facebook account. “We’re rolling out call links on WhatsApp starting this week so you can share a link to start a call with a single tap. We’re also testing secure encrypted video calling for up to 32 people. More coming soon,” wrote the founder.
