The weekly rate of inflation in the country has come down to 8.7 per cent with a slight decrease.
Eleven items including chicken, onion, and flour have become cheaper. Prices of 14 items including tomatoes, potatoes, and eggs have increased.
Last week, the people got a slight relief at food prices. The overall inflation rate fell by 0.23 percent to 8.76 percent.
According to the statistics agency, in the week ended October 22, onion prices fell by Rs. 4 per kg to Rs. 70. The price of chicken fell by Rs. 3 to Rs. 195 in Karachi. Sugar prices declined marginally by 39 paise to Rs. 99 per kg.
According to the report, prices of jaggery, rice, garlic and pulses declined marginally last week, however, prices of 26 products, including coking oil and ghee, remained stable.
