KARACHI: Thirteen workers of a wedding hall and hotel located in Clifton, Karachi, were fined Rs500 each for neglecting Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as they were not wearing masks.
Both places have been sealed.
The fines were imposed by the Civil Lines assistant commissioner in accordance with the commands of South deputy commissioner.
Currently, Pakistan is gripped by the second wave of Corona virus and authorities are urging the public to follow the guidelines strictly. The second wave of Covid-19 has led to smart lockdown and closure of educational institutes.
Moreover, several shops and restaurants were shut down for overlooking the precautionary measures, on December 19. Whereas, four shops were closed in Civil Lines, while 10 people were fined Rs500.
